Principal's Message
Dear Warwick Central State School Community,
As we head into a busy and important time of year for learning, assessment and reporting, we remind students that coming to school each day, giving their best effort to schoolwork and following teacher's instructions will make school a more pleasant experience. Persisting with things that are hard is a natural part of life; and learning to overcome challenges by trying, asking for help and giving things a go is at the core of improvement and learning here at our school. We are certain that our families echo the same messages at home. When the going gets tough, the tough get going! We are enthused when we see kids trying hard things, giving it a go, and asking for help when needed.
I unfortunately have had to deal with reports of students being unkind to one another on multiple occasions these last few weeks. We have zero tolerance for unkindness, disrespect and bullying at our school. We are aware that student aren't always going to be each other's "besties"; but respect and kindness towards all students is expected. Consequences will be put in place for students that do not adhere to our "R" in our Central Rules (RESPECT).
There are lots of events upcoming- excursions, sports, athletics, and band/choir tours. Students are reminded that their participation in these wonderful events is dependent on their behaviour at school. I look forward to hearing about 100% attendance at these events from all who are going.

Same day absences
Contact details
- There are times when we may need to contact parents and carers. Do we have your most up to date contact details? If not, please contact the school on <insert relevant school contact phone or email details> so we can update our records. These details include parent/carer’s name, address, phone numbers, email address and emergency contact details. Please remember to contact the school if any of these details change.
Absence notification process
- Please remember to call the school on 46604333, leave a voicemail, or text the school mobile 0436 919 759 early in the morning if your child is going to be away or late for school so your child’s absence can be recorded correctly.
Same day notification
- Our school will contact parents as soon as practicable on the day if a student is not at school and we don’t know why. If you are advised by the school that your child is away without a reason, please contact us as soon as possible to let us know where your child is. We will follow-up with parents if no response is received.
- This is a LEGAL REQUIREMENT for schools to know where students are, if not at school.
