Principal's Message

Dear WCSS Community,

As the cooler weather settles in, I’d like to remind all families that students are now expected to wear their full winter uniform - burgundy jumper/tracksuit pants, or our school branded Winter clothing that is available for purchase at the office. We sometimes have secondhand winter clothing items available (in limited sizes) available for a small cost also.  Wearing the correct uniform not only keeps our students warm but also fosters a sense of pride and belonging in our school community. Thank you for your support in ensuring your child is dressed appropriately.

It was wonderful to have our school captains/leaders lead a respectful ANZAC service last week and see a great turnout of students at the town ANZAC Day parade and commemorations. Comments were made to me about our students' presentation, good manners and behaviour. I am a very proud Principal when I receive such positive feedback.

I extend my congratulations to the many students who are proudly representing Warwick Central at Southern Downs and Darling Downs sporting events. We are incredibly proud of your hard work, sportsmanship, and the way you are representing our school with excellence on and off the field. Keep up the fantastic effort!

The following students have made it through to Darling Downs Sport teams, to go to state championships:

- Scarlett Clarkson- DD Cricket, DD AFL

- Dimitri Free & Dominic Free- DD Basketball (Shadow players)

A reminder to all students and families to continue following our Central RULES and adhere to our Student Code of Conduct. These guidelines help create a safe, respectful, and productive environment where every student can thrive. Consequences for poor behaviour depends on severity and frequency of the behaviour. Our job is to keep everyone safe and learning. Please continue to remind your children that this is the school expectation.

Lastly, I want to highlight the importance of respect across our entire school community. Respect for our school staff — teachers, aides, office staff, and itinerant staff— is essential and expected. By working together in a spirit of kindness and cooperation, we can ensure that Warwick Central remains a welcoming and positive place for everyone. Respect our school staff, they're here to help you and your child.

Happy Mother's Day on the 11th of March to our female special adults- Mums, aunties, grandmothers, and other special grown-ups who love and care for our students.  Please support our P&C Mother's Day stall and Project Club Mother's Day raffle next week (information below).

150th Recipe book submissions

Please see instructions in the attached flyer BELOW to submit a family recipe to add to the school 150th commemorative recipe book we are making to sell at our 150th celebrations in September.
