Principal's Message
Dear Warwick Central SS community,
NAPLAN 2025
I want to take a moment to congratulate our Year 3 and Year 5 students for completing their NAPLAN assessments over the past fortnight. Their focus, resilience, and effort throughout the testing period have been commendable, and we are incredibly proud of them. We know that NAPLAN is just one small piece of a larger puzzle and our teachers know our students are far more than just the results of this test. In saying this, NAPLAN gives the school important data, that we use in conjunction with other information, to help develop our school goals for student improvement.
A special thank you goes to our dedicated staff for their hard work in organising and supervising the assessments, ensuring a smooth and supportive environment for all students. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.
Year 6 Senior Leader badges
Alongside our school captain process, all year 5's had the opportunity to complete a contract to earn their Senior Leader badge in 2024. These students commit to helping in a leadership capacity around the school including supporting our playground peace patrol. We are looking forward to presenting these badges to our Senior Leaders at an early parade on Wednesday 26 March, 2025, 2:15pm, Library (Before our normal school parade).
Harmony Day- Wednesday 26 March
Harmony Day is just around the corner, and we are excited to celebrate this special occasion on Wednesday, 26 March! This day is all about inclusivity, respect, and a sense of belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background.
Students are encouraged to wear orange to symbolise unity and diversity to school, or a cultural costume.
Throughout the day, we will engage in activities that celebrate different cultures, including storytelling, games and art. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our school community to embrace and appreciate the rich diversity that makes us stronger together.
Reduced office hours
From Wednesday 19th March until the school holidays, our school office will be running on reduced opening hours. The office hours will be 8:30am - 3:30pm daily.
Please leave a phone message if you're unable to reach us straight away. Thank you for your understanding!
Our 150th Celebrations
You might have seen the articles in the latest "People and Places" magazine, advertising our special event. We also have fantastic banners on our school fence line advertising the day. Plans are coming along, and we are excited about the things that are in the pipeline.
Our next organisation committee meeting is Wednesday March 26, 5:30pm in the school library. We value your input and help to make this day hugely successful for our past and present students, staff and community!
Enjoy the long weekend, as this Friday 21 March is the Warwick Show Holiday.

School photography information:
- Online orders - do not require an envelope returned to your school.

We provide your school with a list of sibling orders right up to the day of photography, so no one misses out. If you miss the online order deadline, you can submit a completed sibling order envelope first thing in the morning of the day of photography, so your school is aware you want the photo taken and can bring your children together in time for it. Sibling photographs only apply to children enrolled at your school. Please note not all schools offer sibling photos
- Late fees - a late fee will be applied to each package purchased after photo day due to the additional cost of producing these packages separately
- Package delivery - School photographs will be returned approximately 6 weeks after the day of photography. Please note this delivery timeframe is dependent on proofing and additional photography days at your school.
- Previous Years’ photos - Past years’ photographs including sports, co-curricular and representative groups are also available to order under the “previous years or group photo” tabs at your school’s advancedorder site when you click on the “Order School Photos Here” button above.
