Principal's Message
Hello Warwick Central SS community,
Time flies when you're having fun, coming to school, following Central RULES and learning and improving.
Congratulations to our Reader's Cup teams, who, with Miss Buckley and her helpers' guidance, did extremely well under tough conditions. Considering we have a problem with the book arriving late, the kids did a smashing job and battled it out with the best of the best!
Well done also goes to our Southern Downs track and field competitors on Monday. It was a day filled with tough competition and high expectations, and our student did not disappoint, with many personal bests. Congratulations to all, and to Scarlett Clarkson (10yo girl Age Champion) and Daniel Williams (12yo boys Runner-up Age Champion). Scarlett, Daniel and Liam Hunt have all been selected to move on to the Darling Downs athletics trials. Champion effort, everyone!
Watch out Book Week 2025, we have a set of AWESOME and IMPROVING readers at our school, ready to celebrate! Please get your best book related costume ready for our Book week costume parade, 19 August, 9:00am at the undercover area. Prizes for best dressed to be won!
We now require you to start letting us know in what capacity you might be able to help us at our 150th celebrations on Saturday 13 September. We require adult help to man merchandise and bake stalls and help with activities throughout the day. If you're able to give an hour, or three, or all day- the school, P&C and staff would be most helpful. Please email Miss Downie if you can give us a hand! Miss Downie's email - rdown32@eq.edu.au

Project Club
At the 150th celebrations, the Project Club are in charge of selling two special items- a commemorative TEA TOWEL, and commemorative RECIPE BOOK. The profits will go to Project Club's fundraising efforts, which help lowers the cost of excursions and 5/6 Tallebudgera camp.
Like earlier mentioned, it would be helpful if some adults could help man the Project Club merchandise table on the 150th commemoration day 13th September. If you can help volunteer, please let the school know.
RAFFLE
Congratulations to.....
DAISY C (2RB) and MRS SHELLEY for winning the Project Club Cadbury box raffles! They've won a whole box of Freddos/Caramellos for them and their family (or them and themselves!)

P&C News- 150th information
Still working hard towards the 150th celebrations!
They are organising merchandise to sell, a bake sale on the day, and hosting the 150th dinner on Friday 12 September- all to fundraise for projects that give back to our school and our students.
The P&C are also selling personalised pavers as a part of the 150th, see below the order form- but you can collect a form from the school office to return with payment options. The school will use these in upcoming restoration/renovation projects around the school. A fabulous memento to have, you/your family's name on a brick in the school grounds!
We thank them for the P&C's commitment to this big event. Please see the information below about helping to make some yummies for our big day, order a brick paver, or to buy a ticket to our special 150th dinner event.
TUCKSHOP IS ALSO BACK ON FRIDAYS!

Just a taste of what you can purchase at the 150th....

......more commemorative merchandise sneak peaks to come!!!!
School Opinion Suvery 2025
The suite of School Opinion Surveys is undertaken each year by the Department of Education to
obtain opinions about our school from families, school staff and students in target year levels (5,
6, 8 and 11). The surveys will help identify what we are doing well, and understand where we can
improve. The survey invitation will be emailed in the week beginning 21 July and is titled School
Opinion Survey for parents and caregivers, 2025.
Each school family will receive one email invitation from the Department of Education to complete
the Parent/Caregiver Survey. The survey is anonymous, and the results are not reported in ways
that an individual’s response can be identified by the school.
Parents/Caregivers are encouraged to complete the survey. The survey can be completed via
computers, tablets or smart phones with an internet connection.
For Parents/Caregivers who do not have access to the internet school computers/tablets will be
available. Parents/caregivers who experience difficulties accessing the survey can request a new
survey from the School Opinion Survey team via email schoolopinionsurvey@qed.qld.gov.au.
It’s important that as many parents/caregivers as possible complete the survey, so we would
appreciate if members of this committee would raise awareness of this survey with other parents
and caregivers.
Can’t find your invitation? If your family has more than one parent/caregiver, check that they
haven’t received the invitation and/or check your junk email folder.
